I am a PhD candidate in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge. My supervisor is Hasok Chang and my advisor is Stephen John. My research interests center around religion and science. I look at case studies of various religious communities, looking at their beliefs around the nature of scientific knowledge and interactions with the scientific community, using those cases to contribute to conversations in philosophy of science. Usually I focus on issues surrounding scientific pluralism, objectivity and values in science, and science and policy.
Before I began my doctoral work, I was a high school teacher. Being a passionate and effective educator is something I value and continue to aim towards. I strive to make my philosophy and research accessible to a wider audience and to foster critical conversations between fields.
When I am not working, I can usually be found rambling around the Cambridge countryside or haunting the local used book stores.
